This seems like an article that would had been on Slashdot over 20 years ago. Back at that point it would had been really cool. However with cheap hardware like the Raspberry Pi, Common 3D Printing, and rather large SSD Storage that is cheap, small in size and can run at a decent speed. It isn't that interesting anymore, as it would be most teenagers hobbyist day project to make one of these.

If it was someones kid who did that, I would say that is really cool, and let him talk about it and show me how it works. If it was that is the kids father with an engineering degree who made it. I might say it is kinda cute, then go and get a beer.
