"The free days could also help potential subscribers get a taste of Apple's eclectic mix of sci-fi shows, such as the space race drama For All Mankind, postapocalyptic thriller Silo, and the Godzilla serial Monarch: Legacy of Monsters."

This was my immediate take, as well. Free Apple TV+ for a couple of days, and all you have to do is give Apple enough identifiers to set up for mining your online habits to sell to anyone who'll pay for it.

Apple is doing this solely to boost ratings/subscriptions.
There's a monetary goal; but it is simply selling/renting more of their Products; not turning you into a Product.

SILO +++++++++ This is a great adaptation of the books, so far the second season has been just as good.
Severance - A weird dystopian office story. I really liked it.
Time Bandits series - Seems similar in tone to the movie, though not quite as good.
A lot of people like Ted Lasso though I didn't like it after the second season as much.

AppleTV's Foundation ought to have been set on fire and pushed over the edge. I would say something very similar of the showrunner. The television show as it is ought to not exist, like the showrunner.

I too wish it were more like the books, and should have been more clear how loosely it's based on the concept from the books.

Loaded AppleTV "channel" on Roku Ultra, no prob. Went to Apple site https://account.apple.com/acco... Any future potential business lost forever. Such a shame.
